Smart Baseball

Smart Baseball by Keith Law is about all the new ways self-proclaimed Smart People like the author are thinking about the game.

In truth, I learned a lot about advanced metrics in these pages and am mostly persuaded about the merits of WAR and the demerits of the pitcher win (for example). But this is a book that will only interest baseball fans – and only a certain obsessive subgroup of us at that.
